Find stuff
Yep, find things around your flat/house/garage/loft/shed/bedroom that you don’t use every day. It doesn’t matter if you use it at weekends or every week day, just so long as there’s some time you can be without it. For me, it’s some of my camera lenses, my old camera, my bike, my spare guitar - and sometimes even some of my wardrobe!
Log into Rentable
We’ve made it really easy to get started. We’re young folk so we hate hassle. We also have grandparents so we know the sort of things that trip them up too 🤗
List your items
The listing process is just like eBay, but really we’ve tried to make it even easier than that. It’s free to list items (unless you want to pay for premium listings which most people won’t need to do.)
Approve the requests
When someone requests to borrow your gear, you get the option to approve or decline the request. (If you decline often when your item is marked as available, your ranking will be lowered as we hate disappointing our borrowers.)
Arrange delivery or collection
You get to choose the method of getting your gear exchanged. Listings with delivery tend to do better than those without - just sayin’. Before you hand over, you’ll need to use the app to take a short 360 video of your gear pointing out any existing defects/scratches etc. This protects both parties.
Arrange return
Just like step five but in reverse, get your gear back in and use the app to do a 360 video of the item to check damage. You can then mark the rental complete.
Check your bank account
